21 manager competed with each other to get their roster filled up and complete their teams for the up coming races. 5 Teams were complete after round 2, so less competition would be easier, but most of the big names are also gone, so more bids on the same riders could happen.
There were 200 Bids made on 108 cyclist in total. Out of those 79 cyclist were won this round. That makes the total of assigned cyclist to teams now 299 and this completes 19 teams in total. This also means that still 7 managers will look for 13 cyclist (4 female and 9 male). This most likely will happen with round 4. Because of christmas the next deadline will be December 27th 18:59 CET (GMT+1). If all bids are submitted to me earlier, then I might ask for an early result annoucement, but otherwise the deadline will stand. The new bidform is availiable here in this link with the update free agent list
Did you all enjoy the Twitter spam with your wins and losses? Well everything is available in Excel again for you to read it all back, just as last time.
Next round #round 3 is open now and deadline is 21st December 18:59 GMT+1 For you own, and especially my, convenience, please use the bid-form from here, with the latest free agent list and download it here So the dust has settled after the intense first round. Some have gotten what they wanted, some feel like standing with empty hands and @cyclingwins actually literally is! He got 0 wins out his 10 bids. So this shows that the draft can be brutal.
Round 2 is well under way with over 10 managers already submitting their bidform taken from this link Some are eager to keep the form and winning streak from round 1 and put in the bid already, others scramble to correct the wrongdoings of round 1 and want better luck for this round. That I cannot promise, but there are still a lot of free agents availiable to fit in your team of 10 male and 2 female cyclists. You can have 10 bids again this round and the total of those bids must not surpase your remaining bets. The order of your bids is important, because the first won bids will fill up the team and nullify further bids from your team, once you're full (or have enough male or female cyclist on your team). For the explanation of the draft please scroll down to Draft explanation Once again the deadline for round 2 of the draft is 18:59 on the 18th December GMT+1
Man, that was intense!
wishes come true. Steals made. Dreams scattered. Hero's picked up. Absolutely nerve wracking, for all of us including me! And the best thing is? This is just round one! Who is available, what budget do I still have? Which female / male riders do the others have? Hang on... let’s first look at the results. Below you'll find the link to an excel with all the bids of round 1 and the winners per team and the remaining budget of the teams. The new excel for the bids of round 2 can be downloaded here; link Please use the names from (including the format) the excel, so that my processing can work automatically. You can bid for as many cyclist as you want. But you can't bid more than your remaining budget. And the bid order will decide if you have too many male or female riders in your team. Important!!; Round 2 - deadline 18:59 on the 18th December
I know you are all very eager to enter you draft bid and hope for the best. Some of you even emailed me a draft bid because of a holiday overlap and wanting to be certain that he could participate. Therefor this blog in order to facilitate you all.
I've created a sheet with all the cyclist (now known at PCS) for 2017. Along with the total list is also a draft bid form which can be used to email or DM your bid to me. Please copy the name of the riders from the sheet or from the PCS site, so that the name match that format. That way the draft processing will be much easier for me and will I be able to communicate the results that same night. The deadline for the first round of the draft will be 15th December 2016 at 18:59 (GMT +1).
A full explanation and rules of the draft is a couple of post earlier on this website. Something worth noting about the pre-season draft. This will be all important for the whole of the season. There will be the opportunity to release cyclist before the re-draft window (approximately last week of March and June) and get half their value back. But in previous years most of the high scoring cyclist were already in a team and no longer a free agent, so in the re-draft it will be hard to improve the team. Not impossible as @cyclingmole showed with his PLANCKAERT, Baptiste pick, but very hard. So, with that being said; have fun figuring out your approach and if you think you have the winning strategy, send it in and hold your breath until the 15th. For those who want to download the excel and sent it via email; draft cyclist list + bid form.xlsx |
