In order to confirm your participation the PayPal transfer has to be made and please leave your email via DM in Twitter. That way I can contact you with the details of the first round of draft. Of course the details will be put here as well, but having the e-mailadres will provide more certainty that everybody gets the message in due time and you can reply the draft bid-forms to my e-mailadres. A couple of you already have payed and are therefor confirmed. The list below shows who are confirmed and who are still in the proces of joining.
If by any chance you can't make the draft schedule and you need to withdraw, no worries, there are already reserves who are very eager to join the league.

The draft will be run in several rounds each round begins with the release of the free agents list and the updated team budget. This will be send by me to all the participants via email and will be announced via Twitter. In order to enter a valid draft for your team you have to follow these rules;
After the deadline the results will be computed and the winner per cyclist will be determined by a number of rules stated below. This will see to it that we'll only have 1 team to get the rider in the end.
To illustrate the rules, a draft example below is created with 2 teams competing in the round
So, the rules are pretty straight forward, but the strategies for the draft have lost of variables to consider when filling in the round, especially since there will be 30 team competing for all the stars in cycling! On the other hand, we all need 15 cyclist in our team. Every round you can bid on 10 cyclist... So it can't be that hard ;-)
Introduction
For those who have participated in the first 3 seasons of PFCL, things should sound familiar. Even copied most of the information from last season. For those who are new to the league, let me try to explain. Punters Fantasy Cycling League let's a manager select his team through a draft system before the start of the season. The team has to consist of 15 cyclists. This team will score points as the riders are in the top 15 result of a race from the calendar. So far a regular kind of prediction game. However the league part is what makes it interesting; the races are grouped together in rounds or match-days. This creates a fixture where teams are matched-up and can score 2 points for a victory or 1 point for a draw. These results of the fixtures are summarized in the league table. Pricepool The entrance fee will be £15 per team of which roughly £1 goes into admin fee, to cover the currency swaps and PayPal transaction fee's, and the rest goes in the price pool. If we have 30 teams participating we'll have this price-pool distribution;
Draft Everyone will start with $1500 as their budget. Their will be multiple round in the drafting and this will go on until all the teams are full. You can bid for up to 10 riders in each round. You can not spend more money in the draft than the remaining budget. The whole drafting process will be explained in detail in the following post. All drafts will be done via email or in special occasions via DM on Twitter. Draft Deadlines The deadlines for each round of auctions will be as follows, I stress these are deadlines, you can submit your bids way in advance:
This should get all the bidding done by the time the season starts (first race will be 11th of January) and should give people time to consider their bids and not have to rush making any decisions. I will try to get the results out by the end of the day or following morning at the latest. I also will send out the list of players that have joined each team and information on the remaining budget for each manager. I know we have managers from various difference time zones so all these timings are in Amsterdam time GMT+1, Do have a good think about your draft bidding strategies, there are plenty of articles about fantasy draft bidding, most for nfl but the same principles apply. Redraft During the season we'll have re-draft windows. This will start with the option for teams to release riders and get half their value refunded in return. After this I will make the team overview including budgets and the free-agentlist. The re-draft will start after this with every 2 days a round until all teams are full again. After every 10 matchups there will be a re-draft scheduled. Deadlines and detail will be posted here in due time. In the fixtures it will also show when the redrafted teams will count in the scoring. Calendar The calendar will consist of all UCI races *.1+ races for man and *.2+ for women, excluding TTT's and will and be to grouped into the rounds or match-days. The total calendar and the consisting of the rounds or match-days will be here as well. The UCI calendar is still under construction, but as it looks now on http://www.uci.ch/road/calendar/ we'll have around 85 women's and 200 men's races grouped into 58 rounds. Points The cyclist will score points according to race-type and Classification listed below, TTT's are excluded. And we are full
All the #PFCL3 veterans have stated that they want to rejoin for #PFCL4 and also 1 veteran from #PFCL2. In addition 3 new participants have stated that they want to join. This makes a total of 30 participants from #PFCL4 and that is the maximum the league can have in my opinion; so we are full! :-) The only way anybody can enter is if somebody for the 30 decides or declines to pay the £15
Price pool for this year
Similar to last year the price-pool is filled by 29 x 15 pounds (I get my ticket for free, for the work that is put into running the league) and 15 pounds is not put into the price-pool, but is used to cover currency conversion and PayPal payment fees. Therefore the total price-pool = 420 pounds. This is divided over the following prices that can be won;
Next-up payment via PayPal

New season; number of seatsThe new season of #PFCL is approaching rapidly and preparations are made to get everything ready. So far we have the confirmed participation of 25 veterans. Only @gainluna and@Mheuts75 have not responded to the calls, but all others have given the OK for another season. We also have 3 more participants that want to join in and that will make the total 28 confirmed and 2 pending = 30 in total. I think that will be the maximum for the PFCL to handle. First small changeWe will create the rounds by a tip a couple of you have made; divide the grand tours into 3 (7-race days) matchups in stead of 21 race days as 1 matchups. That will bring 6 more matchups and that's enough to accommodate the matchups for 29 players. If we get to 30 players, then i'll just add 2 more round by sizing down the bigger matchups. The price for winning a grand tour is still on the whole of the 3 weeks of course, that no different than before The draft jittersThe first messages have been sighted on Twitter about the first big task and grand kick-off... the draft! Most veterans remember the draft and the weeks running up to it will keep many manager up at night contemplating on the strategie, weather to go for the big hitters with the chance to get out bid, or go for the good second tier cyclist and grab them for a bargain, but one can never know how the others will think. Last year nobody bid in the first round of the draft on both Froome and Quintana, even Vanmarck and Gilbert were up for grabs. And then you have the mix with male and female cyclist. How much do you need to spend on which? Last year @padsbets had an absolute steal with Coryn RIVERA for $0.3, but who will be the next big upcoming talent that you can grab under the radar of everybody else? Second changesTo spice things up there will be 15 cyclists in a team. And last year we have a fixed number of male and female cyclist that needed to be in a team, but this year it will be up to you to decide the mixture of your team. I'm looking forward to an all women team from @JamieHaughey ;-) Also the budget for the draft will be $1500 and is somewhat bigger than last year, but this year bid wil be done without decimals, so only round numbers. Last thingsI will do a final call to our 2 missing veterans and hope to greet them as participants again and will then do a call to transfer the £15 to the PayPall account. Most of you have it from last year. For those who need it, please leave a DM on twitter to get it. Once the payment has been confirmed than your participation is guaranteed.
I will post the actual price pool after all the participants are in, but preliminary with 30 players it will be;
